The Dragon's Reluctant Babysitter

When a frost dragon curls around the kingdom’s last working furnace, a blacksmith’s apprentice sets out with a stray cat whose purr can melt enchanted ice. Each spell costs the cat one of its nine lives, and the dragon’s frozen footprints are already splitting the roads beneath their feet. Beneath the furnace, they find the dragon sheltering three eggs from the same winter that is killing the villages. With the cat down to its final life, the apprentice must drive it into the furnace to thaw the kingdom or smash the dragon’s eggs to force her off the fire.
