Please Refund My Miracle

In The Wish-Granting Vending Machine, an ordinary college student discovers a humming vending machine behind the campus library at midnight and buys a magical drink that grants a wish for free textbooks. The books arrive in a shopping cart, but every overdue volume follows, leaving the student pursued by a furious librarian and a dictionary that shouts “THIEF!” When the machine suddenly stops working, the student investigates its empty bottles and finds that its little sun-shaped meter rises only when someone receives kindness and smiles. Returning the books, helping a friend study, and carrying the librarian’s heavy boxes brings the machine back to life, and the student celebrates with people who were strangers yesterday. Now the machine offers one last drink just as a classmate drops three bags of groceries in the rain: the student has to choose between claiming another wish and running out to help.
